Hutton Rudby is a village and civil parish four miles to the West of Stokesley. The River Leven, at All Saint’s Church, separates the former parishes of Hutton (south side) and Rudby (north side).

The villages became Hutton Rudby during the 13th century. The Hutton industries of hand-loom weavers, the flax-spinning mill, the paper mill and sail cloth manufacture were all superseded.

The area is now predominantly farming.
