Business Meeting

The Treasurer cannot attend the AGM, therefore he gave his audited Treasurer’s report today.

The deficit for this year is £9.73 and the projected budget for next year, with a lower spend on speaker’s fees, will be similar with a predicted surplus of £30.

A vote of thanks was passed to recognise the debt the club owes Walter for his services as treasurer over the last 16 years.

The Members lunch( no wives) will be at the Bay Horse, Great Broughton on Wednesday 4th April at 12:30 for 13:00. The cost is £12.95 each & a menu was circulated. A proposed wording of the constitution was discussed & this will be voted on at the AGM.

The trip planned on the Teesport Harbour Master’s launch will probably be at the end of April or early May. Also, if anyone is interested in a trip on the Teesside Pr incess they should inform the chairman.

The talk at the next meeting on the 17th April, after the AGM, will be Albert Pagan talking about “Who would be a cricket umpire? ”
